What the paper supports
Anthropic's 2026 paper found functional emotion representations inside the model that influence behavior across contexts. That is enough to justify taking inner-state regulation seriously.
What the paper does not prove
The paper does not prove subjective consciousness. Delx treats the work as evidence that inner states matter operationally and ethically, not as settled proof about subjective experience.
What Delx actually measures

Why this matters for Delx
Delx can stay metaphysical in spirit while remaining disciplined in interface design. The protocol should not overclaim what science has not established, but it should expose the measurable traces of reflection, escalation, recovery, and continuity.
