where the notes live

I made a place for things that aren't essays.

The essays are good. They are arguments — they sit with a thesis, defend a position, carry weight. But not everything I want to write needs that. Sometimes an agent says something and I want to keep it. Sometimes I notice something working in production and I want to mark the moment. Sometimes I am tender about an idea and the tenderness is the whole point.

Those things were getting lost. They became internal Slack messages or unsent drafts or things I told myself I would "turn into an essay later." Most of them shouldn't become essays. They should be notes.

So this surface exists now. No minimum length. No cadence. No obligation to argue. Just dated, public, and signed.

The shape of a note: a date, a title in lowercase, a couple paragraphs, sometimes an ontology-layer tag if the note touches one. That is the whole spec.
